That is a common misconception about the piece of paper you trust your employment future in, it ia a very important record of who you are and what you have accomplished in your career. Many fail to realize the importance of their resume’s that will and can stay with employers for sometime, off into dusty bins to be re-discovered when spring cleaning commences. Some people fail to see that their resume’s contains their basic information, information that in the wrong hands can be used for no good. Though offices keep them for short periods of time (if you’re not accepted) but they sometimes find their way into your employment file as part of your historical information. The worst thing you can do is to leave a copy of your resume lying around in the company’s document database, only to be discovered when somebody stumbles upon them. Information is knowledge and knowledge is power so be wary of where that piece of paper finds it’s way into, for part is contained within that very document.
