The thing about resumes these days is the shorter it is the better. Contrary to beliefs that having a couple of pages to sum up your expertise would do the job and work to your advantage is not something appealing. Most recruiters would want summaries of your qualifications and not a novel to read on.
Besides, would they bother to read it? All they want to see would be the highlights of your career. It does sound like a shortcut but today, this is a reality when you apply for jobs. People just want to see what you have to offer and nothing else.
