Do not Submit a Novel!

When you submit your resume, remember that much of the talking will be done on the initial interview. It is not on paper. While a detailed resume would be fine, not all employers would appreciate your life story in one submission. These are questions that will be asked in the course of your application so try not to give them a hard time noting what makes you qualified for the position.

Resumes are identifications and short representations of your qualifications. They should contain mostly professional information of yourself. Doing away with the unwanted things such as educational medals and citations can save you a lot of space. Stick to the basic and professional things in line with your job hunt.
